Climes is India’s leading climate finance company (backed by Peak XV/Sequoia), facilitating finance to flow confidently into building and regenerating carbon sinks in the Global South. Our focus on regenerative agriculture and agroforestry seeks to keep smallholder farmers and communities at the center of finance flows. With 80k+ farmers onboard, 250k+ acres under management, 200k credits in the pipeline, our goal is to develop high-quality carbon removal that is built on high-quality incentives.
Climes was established in 2021 by Anirudh Gupta and Siddhanth Jayaram with the vision to create A Regenerated Planet. We’re a lean team of 17 passionate problem solvers and sustainability enthusiasts, mostly based out of Delhi. Over the past 2 years, our team has managed to work with 280,000 consumers, 50 brand partners, 8 carbon projects, 25 event organisers and pivot the business a healthy number of times for a start-up.
